The expert said that pushed Riyadh to reduce oil production

The United States and Saudi Arabia have common interests, and the President of the United States Donald Trump didn’t need to threaten crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman withdrawal of us troops to reduce oil production,

says a researcher at the Middle East Institute in Washington, Hassan Minamina.

He commented on reports in the Western media like trump on the eve of the transaction OPEC+ threatened Saudi crown Prince to withdraw military if Riyadh is not going to reduce oil production in the conditions of sharp falling of demand for hydrocarbons and lower oil prices on the background of the spread of coronavirus.

“We’re talking about a partnership based on shared interests between the US and Saudi Arabia, which lasts three quarters of a century, not about the Alliance. The U.S. needs Saudi Arabia to stabilize oil prices, and that needs US to ensure its security, both countries want a relationship, and they want to keep them, and I don’t see the conflict between them,” – said RIA Novosti al-Mamina.

He noted that relations between countries are not always arranged at the same level.

“Trump don’t need to tell the crown Prince of Saudi Arabia that he would withdraw the troops because bin Salman understands the situation, here we are talking about using tools that are available to each side to get what they want, and we’re not talking about threats or opportunities for the withdrawal of us troops, how it was applied in the media,” – said the expert.

OPEC agree on 12 April on the reduction of oil production to 9.7 million barrels per day in may-June, 7.7 million in the second half of the year and 5.8 million next until the end of April 2022. Base count taken October 2018, but for Russia and Saudi Arabia taken 11 million barrels per day, from which by analogy with all there is a decrease of 23%, 18% and 14%, respectively.
