Saudi-Emirati Coordination Council meets in Riyadh

A workshop to monitor progress for the projects under the Saudi-Emirati Co-ordination Council was held in Riyadh on Sunday.

More than 70 UAE and Saudi Arabian government representatives attended the workshop to review progress on some of the joint initiatives and to plan for the next meeting in the Kingdom’s capital in April.

Joint projects in the areas of production, industry, government services, housing, education, the media and military industries,

were reviewed in the workshop which was attended by Mohamed Al Tuwaijri, Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning and Head of the Executive Committee.

Mr Al Tuwaijri said such meetings reinforce the council’s plans and ensure its initiatives succeed, according to state news agency Wam.

The council was formed in May 2016 on the directives of President Sheikh Khalifa and King Salman bin Abdulaziz, of Saudi Arabia. It is part of the joint economic, development and military vision between the two countries.
