Saudi Arabia’s biggest gaming destination opens

Majid Al Futtaim, a leading shopping mall and leisure pioneer in the region, has announced the opening of Saudi Arabia’s biggest gaming destination, Magic Planet in Riyadh Park Mall, the capital’s newest shopping hub.

The new venue is Magic Planet’s biggest opening to date and the very first to open in Saudi Arabia.

Spanning a whopping 10,000-sq-m, gaming guests will have access to a selection of new attractions which are only available at the new location.

The Twist and Swing, for older adventurers, and the Magic Tree, for the little ones, are not only exclusive to Magic Planet Riyadh Park, but the very first in the region.

Guests will also be able to enjoy some of the brand’s favourite offerings including the G-force ride, bumper cars and go-karting.

Also, thrill-seekers can brave the Crystal Mine Train and jump for joy at Gravity, Magic Planet’s indoor trampoline park, while the younger guests can explore Kids Square and Soft Play Area. Magic Planet Riyadh Park also hosts the first VOX Cinemas, a four-screen multiplex in Saudi Arabia.

Adham Badawy, director of marketing and development – Majid Al Futtaim Leisure and Entertainment, said:

“We are delighted to be bringing Magic Planet to Saudi Arabia, making it the ninth country which we operate in. We’re aware that the brand already has many Saudi fans, so we’re expecting the new attraction to be extremely popular. Not only does the opening of our largest venue give us the opportunity to bring the Magic Planet experience to new audiences, but it also reaffirms our position as a leading amusement and entertainment destination in the Middle East.”

He continued:

“Opening our 34th venue is a huge achievement that we’re extremely proud of. Twenty-two years after our first opening in City Centre Deira, we are still just as dedicated to bringing great moments to our guests every day, and we look forward to seeing families, friends, children and adults across the Kingdom getting involved in the fun.”

Magic Planet Riyadh will officially open on June 10 and will be open from Sunday – Thursday 10am: 12am, 10am: 1am on Friday’s. During Ramadan, opening hours are Sunday – Friday 8.30pm: 2.30am, and Eid timings will be, 10am: 1am daily.
