Saudi Arabia confirmed four new cases of the deadly coronavirus, raising the total number of cases to 11, the Ministry of Health announced on Sunday.

Three cases were found in Saudi nationals who had come in contact with others who were infected. The fourth new case, also of a Saudi national,  had come from Iran and entered the country via the UAE.

The announcement comes a day after the ministry asked that all residents of the Kingdom who had been to Lebanon, Egypt, Italy, or South Korea in the last two weeks quarantine themselves at home for 14 days from the date of their arrival.

Saudi Arabia has been taking precautionary measures to combat the spread of the deadly virus in the country, including enforcing a temporarily ban on entering Mecca.

Several countries in the Arabian Gulf region have confirmed cases of coronavirus, with Iran at the epicenter. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, and Bahrain have all barred its residents and citizens from traveling to Iran as a result.
