LuLu set to open its largest hypermarket in Saudi Arabia

LuLu Hypermarket is geared to open its largest hypermarket in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) on July 18, 2018.

The new store will mark LuLu’s 150th store milestone and the 13th branch in the Kingdom. It is located at Atyaf Mall, Yarmouk in Riyadh, which covers a total built up area of more than 220,000 square feet.

The anticipated launch has strengthened its global status with a successive triumph on being the region’s fastest growing retail chain with worldwide operations across 10 countries in the Middle East, India, Indonesia and Malaysia.

LuLu Group Chairman and Managing Director Yusuff Ali M.A. is proud to announce this significant launch that symbolizes LuLu’s utmost growth over the decades of rendering a world-class shopping experience.

With a positive note on LuLu’s development plans, Yusuff Ali said:

This year, we are glad to be part of the continuous growth and progressive changes happening in the KSA with the successful business expansion of our retail entities. Within this quarter, we will be opening two more hypermarkets in Tabuk and Dammam, and also a shopping mall to cater to the growing lifestyle needs of the KSA market.”

Featuring a modern and spacious layout, the single-floor hypermarket features expansive product ranges. The supermarket division features both local and imported groceries, fresh food, different cuisines in hot food counters, salad bars, meat and fish sections, freshly baked breads, and many more.

On the other hand, the department store highlights lifestyle products that are well-segmented into different categories for fashion, beauty, home and living, and electronics—BLSH, featuring the hypermarket’s cosmetics line; LuLu Connect, which houses a wide variety of electronics and mobile phones; and REO, LuLu’s newest fashion concept store offering stylish and functional clothing available at reasonable rates.

With the brilliant combination of best quality products, affordable price points, and conducive space, LuLu remains to be one of the most popular shopping destinations in KSA.

LuLu Hypermarket, where the world comes to shop—is the top retailer in the Middle East and the fastest growing hypermarket business worldwide.

Garnering more than 1,100,000 shopping patrons everyday, it is the fastest growing retail chain across 10 countries that include the GCC, India, Egypt, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

Founded in the early nineties, it has successfully expanded to different parts of the world and currently operates 150 stores with a staff force of 43,000.
