King Salman Arrives in Jordan for Arab Summit
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz arrived in Amman on Monday, reported the Saudi state news agency SPA.
King Salman will be heading the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s delegation to the Arab Summit.
The King was received at the airport by King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussain of Jordan. Both Saudi and Jordanian national royal anthems were played.
It is worth noting that the Arab Summit will be attended by United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Organization of Islamic Cooperation chief Dr. Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen and representatives from the African, European and Russian Unions.
The monarch was also received by Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein, Prince Ali bin Al-Hussein, Prince Hamzah bin Al-Hussein, Prince Hashim bin Al-Hussein and Prince Rashid bin Al-Hussein, and Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Turki, Saudi Ambassador to Jordan.
After a short break at the airport terminal, King Abdullah II welcomed and shook hands with official members of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques accompanying delegation. For his part, King Salman shook hands with Jordanian senior officials.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was accompanied by Prince Abdullah bin Fahd bin Khalid, Prince Mansour bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Prince Saud bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Prince Khalid bin Saad bin Fahd, Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and a number of princes, ministers and senior civil and military officials.
