Doctor dies in Saudi Arabia after being infected with COVID-19

The Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia has reported the first death of a doctor infected with coronavirus

The Syrian doctor Mohammad Musleh Qatranji was working in a private medical clinic in the city of Khobar.

The department of Health Affairs in the region mourned the death of the Syrian doctor, who died last Monday, and conveyed condolences of the Minister of Health to his family members, praying to Allah Almighty to rest his soul in eternal peace and grant his family patience and solace.

The deceased was reportedly infected with the virus during the Eid Al Fitr holiday and was admitted to a private hospital in Khobar for treatment. He spent 5 days in the hospital, before he died. He was not suffering from any chronic diseases.

The deceased was the third doctor to die of COVID-19 in Saudi Arabia after a Pakistani doctor in Macca and Sudanese doctor in Riyadh.
